THE LAST JOURNEY OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN.
The Lincoln funeral train departed Chicago on 2 May 1865 at 9:30 p.m. Due to arrive in Springfield at 9:00 the following day, the train's arrival would mark the final stop for the late president and his beloved son, Willie, before their internment at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
