The First Fragment by Daniel Stephenson (b. English, 1823–1892), Fairfield, Jefferson County, Iowa, Dated, "1859"

the first fragment, plain weave with plain interlacings of secondary binding warps and patterning wefts (Beiderwand), inscribed, "Made by D. Stephenson/ Fairfield/ Jefferson Co./ Iowa/ 1859"; the second and third fragments composed of cotton, linen, and wool, 19th century.

45 1/2 × 34 1/2 inches (first), 22 1/4 x 41 3/4 inches (second).
