Two Chinese Enameled Porcelain Snuff Bottles, Daoguang Marks and of the Period
清道光 粉彩花鳥草蟲鼻烟壺兩支
Daoguang mark and of the period (1821-1850)

The first of rounded bulbous form, with a cylindrical neck, the lip concave, the recessed foot surrounded by a protruding oval footrim, finely painted on each side with a cricket in foliage, the base with a four-character Daoguang mark in iron-red; The second of slightly bulbous rounded form, with a cylindrical neck and protruding oval footrim, decorated in famille-rose enamels, depicting on one main side two doves standing on a mossy bank beside grasses and flowers, the reverse with a black and white Pekinese dog gamboling on a mossy bank beside bamboo, the base with an iron-red Daoguang nianzhi mark and of the period.
Height of largest without stopper 2 5/16 in., 5.8 cm.
