Long stroke piston driven gas operated rifle fed by an internal magazine charged with en bloc clips. Receiver marking reads U.S. RIFLE/CAL .30M1/INTERNATIONAL/HARVESTER. Replaced barrel is dated 12 53, indicating it was made in 1953, and additionally shows INTERARMS importer markings, P mark and {Defense Acceptance Stamp}. Top of the bolt shows number D6528287 followed by IHC maker mark, in addition to a punch dot proof and U stamp. Relief cut operating rod shows a further International harvester marking and reads D-6535382IHC. Drawing number to right receiver shows H suffix. Trigger group shows Springfield Armory SA stamp. Stock has been glass bedded and sanded, with a weak circle P to the wrist and the left butt marked AA/35663. Item comes with a green canvas Nobuckl sling, and a cut down M1 bayonet with a blade measuring 6.25", and all manufacturer marks ground down and refinished over. {C&R}
