"C&S" in Quillons Marked Confederate Short Sword
American Civil War
18.5" semi-wasp waisted double edged spear point blade, nominally 2" wide at widest point. Overall length 24". 5.5" cast brass hilt with fish scale grip and 4" wide cross guard with raised "C" and "S" letters at the opposing quillons. Sword is otherwise unmarked. Sword is accompanied by a well made reproduction scabbard that is a little too tight for the sword to completely seat in.
