Single shot flintlock muzzleloading musket with three flat brass barrel bands, the lower two friction fit and the upper double strapped band spring retained. Musket features a brass blade front sight, no rear sight, a traditional Dutch style buttplate with large head butt screws, flat two-screw side plate, sling swivel lugs on the triggerguard bow and rear of upper barrel band, socket bayonet lug under the barrel about 1" from the muzzle and a Hanoverian style bayonet catch. 5.75" convex lock appears to be in original flint and is marked THONE/AMSTERDAM. Cock may be replaced, top jaw and screw appear to be replaced. A solid example of a turn of the 19th century Dutch "carbine" in decent condition.
