Lot Description

American Revolution
.72 caliber. 42" barrel. NSN. Oxidized metal, steel furniture, stretched walnut stock. Single shot reconverted flintlock musket with stretched stock forward of the rear band, replaced furniture forward of the rear band and an iron ramrod. Musket of nominally 1763/66 Charleville pattern with extensive restoration. Illegible script marked lock with only "St. Etienne" truly legible and a conjoined "US" surcharge at the tail, a mark generally assumed to be from the latter part of the American Revolution and early Federal Era. {ANTIQUE}
