Single shot reconverted flintlock musket with stretched stock forward of the rear band, replaced furniture forward of the rear band and an iron ramrod. Musket of nominally 1763/66 Charleville pattern with extensive restoration. Illegible script marked lock with only "St. Etienne" truly legible and a conjoined "US" surcharge at the tail, a mark generally assumed to be from the latter part of the American Revolution and early Federal Era. {ANTIQUE}
