Pair of Queen Anne Flintlock Pistols by Freeman in Reconfigured Modern Case

.60 caliber. 5.5" round cannon muzzle twist-off barrels. NSN. Bright finish, iron furniture, silver plated floral pattern brass buttcaps, walnut stocks. Single shot twist-off flintlock pistols without sights. Lower right of frames marked FREEMAN with the bottom of the frames showing London Gunmaker's Company commercial proof marks and the touchmark of James Paul Freeman who worked in London during the first half of the 18th century. Tops of barrels marked LONDON. Stocks with raised carved shell motifs around the tangs and German silver wrist escutcheons. Cocks and frame with light engraving. The pistols are contained in a reconfigured modern wooden case with accessories that include an old pistol flask and a combination bullet mold and barrel wrench and is not the right size or caliber for the guns. Some lead balls are present as well, none correct for the guns. {ANTIQUE}
