Intriguing quarter-plate daguerreotype of a 75 cent daguerreian studio with the photographer and his family posed outside.
 
A few other neighborhood boys have joined the fun and there is a framed example of the photographers work next to the left side doorway. We assume one side was the family home while the other was the studio, and find it quite interesting that the woman is by the studio side wearing a work apron.
 
This comes with the original frame, which has lost its finish as seen, but is currently housed in a leather case.
