Red morocco album with gilt brass fittings (closure clasps missing, wear to extremities) containing approx. 105 CDV portraits (some engraved) of men, women, and children, including royalty, dukes and duchesses, military figures, bishops, and civilians. Subjects include: The Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (Berlin: L. Haase & Comp.) -- Prince Albert of Prussia (Berlin: L. Haase & Comp.) -- The Princess of Wales, later Queen Alexandra (Copenhagen: G. E. Hansen). -- Prince Robert d'Orleans, the Duc de Chartres. -- Constantine Phipps, 1st Marquess of Normanby (Paris: Disderi & Co.) -- Helmuth von Moltke the Elder. -- Dowager Lady Tichborne. -- And many others.
