[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 24 sixth plate daguerreotypes of men of varying ages.
Vignetted bust portrait of a younger gentleman with somewhat untidy, curly hair, looking off-camera. (Minor tarnishing to edges, few spots throughout; resealed.) Housed in a half pressed paper case (surface wear). Pencil inscription to case interior reads, "23 years old / taken at Elmira N.Y. / in the map business." -- Vignetted bust portrait of a portly middle-aged gentleman with combed-back hair and sideburns. (Several slightly faded tarnish spots throughout portrait; resealed.) Housed in a broken pressed paper case (significantly damaged, worn). -- Bust portrait of a gentleman with a somewhat haughty expression and long hair sticking out on either side of his head. (Minor spotting and imperfections; small portions of original seals remain.) Housed in a half pressed paper case (surface wear throughout). -- And 21 others. Some without cases.
