[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 16 daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, and tintypes of varying subjects.
16 cased images, comprising:
11 daguerreotypes, including: 6 sixth plate daguerreotypes, highlighted by a portrait of a mother with her child, two young couples, and an aged woman wearing a bonnet. -- 4 ninth plate daguerreotypes, including an oval example of a mustachioed man and a portrait of a lovely young woman. -- 1 sixteenth plate portrait of a young man.
3 ambrotypes, including: 2 sixth plate ambrotypes, one showing a portrait of two young women, possible sisters. -- Ninth plate ruby ambrotype of a young girl wearing a serious expression.
2 tintypes, including: Ninth plate studio portrait of two young men seated together, one resting his hand on the other subject's shoulder. (Matted, no cover glass, some spotting to plate). Housed in half case. -- Sixteenth plate oval portrait of a young woman.
Together, 16 daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, and tintypes. Most in full cases. Conditions vary.
