Lot Description
[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. Occupational ambrotype of two men holding hands, possibly railroad conductors.
Horizontally-oriented sixth plate ambrotype portrait of two male friends seated next to one another, with their adjoining hands clasped together. They each wear tarred or rainproof wheel caps, likely indicative of their occupation, possibly as railroad conductors. (Image rather clear, with some minor spots and imperfections, preserver with oxidation.) Housed in a felt-matted frame with cutout just large enough for the image to fit snugly.
This lot is located in Cincinnati.
