"Lanterna Magica" projector. Overall approx. 11 x 7 1/2 x 4 3/4 in. magic lantern projector on wood base (general signs of use, minor soil, slight lean to oil tank); 12 x 9 1/4 x 5 1/2 in. paper-covered wood box, printed label to lid, with text, "Lanterna Magica," and illustration of a magic lantern show. Manufactured in Germany (surface wear and some areas of loss to paper).
[With:] 12 glass lantern slides and optical toys featuring hand-colored illustrations (overall very good). -- 5 magic lantern slides featuring hand-colored photographs of western scenes, including Native American subjects, a town, and railroad view (overall very good). -- Printed ticket for a "Grand Illustrated Lecture, approx. 1 1/2 x 4 1/2 in. (some light soiling and edge wear).
