A Group of Five Continental Silver Items
18th - 20th Century

comprising a Dutch silver tobacco box commemorating the Battle of Dogger Bank in 1781, marked with date letter "K" and other partially rubbed marks; a Dutch lidded box by J.M. Van Kempen, Voorschoten, 1835-1919, marked with maker's mark, .833 fineness mark, and regional assay mark; a Dutch repousse silver spoon, with scrolled handle having a cast crown and bird finial, the bowl decorated with sailor holding anchor, marked with maker's mark, .833 fineness mark, regional assay mark for Steenwyck, and date letter for 1883; a pierced sterling silver spoon, by Theodor Olsen, Bergen Norway, marked; and a Russian silver cigarette box in the form of a tied and cushioned parcel, each segment engraved in Cyrillic, struck twice with two partially rubbed marks.
