[CIVIL WAR - LEE, Robert E. (1807-1870)]. 5 CDVs of CSA General Robert E. Lee, incl. the "Blockade Portrait."

Includes:

Full standing CDV "Blockade Portrait" of the CSA commander. New York: C.D. Fredricks & Co. 2-cent US Internal Revenue stamp on verso. Originally taken in Richmond, VA, by Vannerson, 1864. Lee stands wearing his uniform including sword belt and sash, holding his gloves in one hand and his sword in the other. This image was one of two taken after which E.V. Valentine modeled his statue of Lee. -- Bust portrait of a younger Lee wearing a double-breasted civilian suit jacket and cravat. Charleston, SC: Quinby & Co., n.d. -- Vignetted profile portrait of an aged Lee in civilian suit. Lexington, VA: Stonewall Art Gallery, n.d. -- And 2 other portraits of an aged Lee including one engraving of the general in his CSA uniform, both with Anthony's backmark. -- Together, 5 CDVs.
