Lot Description

CHAMBERLAIN, W.G. (1815-1910), photographer. Three CDVs of Ute Indians. Denver, CO, ca 1860s.


3 CDVs on cardstock mount with verso imprint of W.G. Chamberlain, Denver, Colorado. Subjects include: An intimate portrait of an unidentified Native American wearing a .44-40 cartridge belt. -- Group portrait of four braves, one armed with a lever action rifle, one with a revolver, and one with a percussion rifle. -- CDV, possibly a copy image of five elaborately dressed Native Americans. -- Together, 3 CDVs.
