Lot Description
[FLAGS]. 20-star American flag with "Great Star" pattern. Ca 1876 or later.
Approx. 16 3/4 by 33 in. cotton flag with 20 stars painted on each side of the canton, arranged in a 'Great Star' pattern, with machine-sewn, cotton stripes and a cotton hoist. A rare star count commemorating Mississippi's statehood, possibly made for the Centennial Celebrations of 1876 or after.
