fourth quarter 19th century
elaborately decorated with a buffalo hide strip attached to opening; plaited quillwork in colors of faded red, yellow, and blue is framed by beaded lanes of blues, greasy yellow, and rose; quilled slats are attached to lower edge and spaced by red pony beads
