mid-19th century
forged iron blade with heart cutout and cylindrical bowl; file-branded haft studded with approximately 141 brass tacks; hide sleeve coverers lower portion of haft and continues to a triangular beaded drop in colors of pea green, red white-heart, cobalt, and greasy yellow; twisted fringe is coated with blue-green pigment
overall length 45 inches; length of tomahawk 23-1/2 inches; length of head 9-1/2 inches x width of blade 4 inches
