The center of the panel worked in multi-color threads depicting a busy garden scene centered with a large basket filled with gold ingots, flanked by a pair of caparisoned elephants, attendants bearing couplets and flowering plants, the top register decorated with a pavilion surrounded by winged phoenix and peony blossoms, all reserved on a bright red ground, bordered by shou characters alternating further flowering heads against a navy blue ground.
