Late 19th-Early 20th Century
The front of each panel is decorated in gilt with hardstone inlays, the top register showing a bogu motif with flower-filled vases and precious objects, the mid-section depicting Daoist immortals along the riverbank underneath pine and willow trees, the lower panel a mythical beast amongst plants; the reverse is overall lacquered red with gilt-highlighted bats in the midst of auspicious clouds.
Each Panel: Height 72 x Width 17 1/2 in., 182.9 x 44.5 cm.
