A Pair of Japanese Bronze and Mixed-Metal Baluster Vases, Meiji Period, Late 19th Century
Meiji Period, Late 19th Century
The exterior of each vase cast, carved and inlaid in gold, silver, shakudo, copper and gilt depicting a pheasant in the midst of flowering peonies, all underneath two pairs of confronting ho-oh birds, unmarked.
