Recto with ink, colors and gold on paper, the painting mounted onto the illuminated manuscript leaf, the reverse with red and black inscriptions, margins with black-outlined floral sprays.

A similar painting by La’l may be found among other Mughal paintings from the Bharat Kala Bhavan at the Benares Hindu University in Varanasi, India.
