With an eight-line errata; without 12-line slip found in some copies. Extra-illustrated, with an engraved frontispiece, engraved vignette title-page, and 38 engraved plates by Hablot Knight Browne (as called for), as well as an additional 17 original watercolor drawings depicting the novel's characters, by Joseph Clayton Clark ("Kyd"). Full blue levant, decorated in gilt; top edge gilt, other edges trimmed; gilt dentelles; burgundy endpapers; by Riviere & Son; illustrated book-plate of William Crampton on front paste-down; scattered minor spotting to text; front wrapper from monthly No. VIII bound in at rear, original green cloth bound in at same.
