New York: Artists Equity Association, 1950. First and limited edition, #1,985 of 2,000 numbered copies. 4to. 110 pp. Edited by Elias Newman. Illustrated with 52 lithographs of advertisements for businesses in and around New York City, by artists such as Milton Avery, Max Beckmann, George Biddle, Hans Hofmann, Reginald Marsh, Ben Shahn, and 45 others. Original lithographic green spiral-bound wrappers, very slightly toned, creasing in bottom corner of rear wrapper; wear along edges of some leaves at rear.
Scarce first publication issued by the Artists Equity Association, that was "conceived from an idea by Julio de Diego as a medium for advertisers in sympathy with Artists Equity. The member-artists who illustrated this journal were selected by the advertisers and were given complete freedom of expression."
