[Americana] Biddle, Nicholas. Group of 3 Autograph Letters, signed


1. (Philadelphia): Bank of the United States, February 20, 1830. Bifolium, 9 7/8 x 8 in. (251 x 203 mm). One and a half page autograph letter, marked "private", signed by Nicholas Biddle as President of the Bank of the United States, to John Cumming, Esq., President of the Office of Discount and Deposit, regarding financial matters with the state banks. Addressed by Biddle on integral leaf, remnants of red wax seal on same. Bifolium separated along central fold; creasing from old folds, separations along same; remnants on address leaf from when disbound.

2. Philadelphia, January 24, 1831. Bifolium, 9 7/8 x 7 3/4 in. (251 x 197 mm). One-page autograph letter, signed by Biddle as President of the Bank of the United States, to M. Robinson, Esq., cashier of the Office of Discount and Deposit, New York. Addressed by Biddle on integral address leaf, red wax seal on same intact. Creasing from old folds, some separations and wear along same; loss along fore-edge; remnants on address leaf from when disbound.

3. (Philadelphia): Bank of the United States, February 1, 1831. Bifolium, 9 7/8 x 7 7/8 in. (251 x 200 mm). One and a quarter page autograph letter, signed by Biddle as President of the Bank of the United States, to Samuel Jaudon, cashier of the Office of Discount and Deposit, New Orleans, regarding financial and personnel matters. Creasing from old folds; wear along folds and extremities.
