Philadelphia, December 16, 1785. Single oblong sheet, approximately 6 1/2 x 8 in. (165 x 203 mm) (sight). Partially-printed pay order, signed by Charles Biddle as Vice President of the Supreme Executive Council of Pennsylvania, requesting Treasurer David Rittenhouse to pay John Figh, private of the Sixth Regiment of the Pennsylvania Line, 419 shillings and five pence for one year's interest on his depreciation certificate; counter-signed by John Nicholson, Comptroller-general of Pennsylvania. Creasing from old folds. Unexamined out of frame, 9 1/2 x 11 1/2 in. (241 x 292 mm).
