London and New York: William Heinemann and Doubleday Page & Co., 1910, 1911. First trade editions. 2 volumes, small 4to. Each with tipped-in color plates, printed tissue guards, and numerous illustrations. Original brown buckram gilt, spines light sunned.
These English translations of Wagner's first two operas in The Ring of the Niblung series contain some of Rackham's only illustrations for an adult audience.
