[NATIVE AMERICANS]. 4 photographs of Native Americans, incl. Shoshone and Sioux subjects.
2 boudoir photographs, each credited to Baker & Johnston, Evanston, Wyoming, ca 1890. Versos with the photographer's imprint and "List of Indian Pictures." Subjects include: Peran in Sun Dance Costume (print and mount heavily trimmed). -- Sioux Squaw (toning, some soiling, edge and corner wear to mount).
Seated portrait of Maragootch, a Shoshone warrior. Photographer's credit not visible, but originally taken by Baker & Johnston, ca 1890. 7 1/4 x 4 1/4 in. (sight) photograph, matted and framed, 10 x 13 in. (several creases, few possible tears/imperfections in print, not examined out of frame). -- Photograph of Navajo Indians on horseback, outside a dwelling. Copyrighted 1901 in negative by James Pierce of Los Angeles, CA. 6 x 8 in. (sight), matted and framed, 12 x 13 1/2 in. (few light creases in print, not examined out of frame).
