[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 27 assorted cased images.
A lovely, crisp sixth plate daguerreotype portrait of a young lady wearing a brooch and beaded bracelet. (Very clear image, minor tarnishing to edge, spotting to mat.) Housed in a hand painted case (surface wear). -- A pair of landscape-oriented sixth plate tintypes of the same couple from the same sitting, almost identical except for a few minor differences in the pose. (Crisp images, minor imperfections.) Housed together, one on top of the other, in a half pressed paper case (surface wear/loss). -- European sixth plate seated portrait of a young lady holding her place in a red-tinted book with one finger and resting her arm on the table next to her. (Light imperfections.) Housed in a fully separated pressed paper case (surface wear). -- A folio-style case housing 6 tintype portraits featuring the members of a family including a man, a woman, and 5 children. -- And 17 others. Some loose, without any housings. Conditions vary. -- Together, 27 assorted daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, and tintypes.
[With:] A ninth plate ambrotype portrait of three family members, broken into 4 pieces and loosely held together by a preserver.
