[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 21 sixth plate daguerreotypes of women wearing hats and bonnets.
Crisp head-on portrait of a seated woman of mature age, with her hair arranged up in tightly-coiled curls on either side of her head and wearing a cloth bonnet at the back of her head. (Tarnishing to edges, some other imperfections, spotting to mat, otherwise crisp image.) Housed in a book-style case with mother-of-pearl inlay (heavy surface wear and some loss). -- Seated portrait of a young lady wearing a plaid dress, ornate shawl, lace fingerless gloves, and a beautiful hat with pink-tinted flowers to the interior. (Tarnishing to edges, few pricks and abrasions to plate.) Housed in a fully separated leatherette case (surface wear). -- And 19 others. Some without cases or housings. Conditions vary. -- Together, 21 sixth plate daguerreotypes of women of varying ages, wearing bonnets or hats.
