[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 20 sixth plate daguerreotypes featuring couples.

Seated portrait of a young couple seated next to each other, each with their hands clasped together in their own laps. Accompanied by inscribed note reading, "This is a picture of John Shearer and wife of Rudman. Taken about 75 years ago. Mr. Shearer died at the age of 95 years August 1927. He was uncle of Mrs Susan Smith." (Tarnishing to edges, dust specs and some spotting throughout.) Housed in a fully separated pressed paper case (general wear). -- Landscape-oriented portrait of an older couple, the woman holding a pair of eyeglasses in one hand. (Light tarnishing to edges, some spotting and dust specs between plate and glass.) Housed in a half pressed paper case (general surface wear). -- And 18 others. Some without cases. Conditions vary. -- Together, 20 sixth plate daguerreotypes of couples.

[With:] Sixth plate daguerreotype of an older woman wearing a bonnet and holding what appears to be a small book in one hand. Housed together in the same case as one of the couples featured above.
