[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 18 quarter plate or smaller daguerreotype portraits of gentlemen.
Seated portrait of a portly gentleman with longer, combed over hair and a mustache. (Tarnish and oxidation spots to plate, some spotting to mat.) Housed in a fully separated leatherette case (wear). -- Seated portrait of a younger gentleman holding a book up on his leg with one hand and wearing a very serious expression on his face. (Tarnishing, clouding, wiping to plate, spotting to mat.) Housed under mat, glass, and preserver only; no case. -- And 16 others, incl. two images housed in a partial front/back case. Some without cases. Conditions vary. -- Together, 18 daguerreotypes of men housed in quarter plate cases.
