An Assembled Group of Eighteen Chinese Export Porcelain Armorial Tablewares
Circa 1790
the majority decorated with be-ribboned shield-form reserve flanked by swagged drapery, containing various monograms; comprising a covered vegetable tureen, bearing eagle with monogram, "FS"; a soup plate; a small dish with crest in the form of an a raised arm holding scepter and bearing monogram, "RW"; four tea bowls, a teacup, and saucer bearing monogram, "RCS"; a spoon rest with crest in the form of a crown issuing serpent and bearing monogram, "ME"; a tea caddy bearing monogram, "RAB"; a small bowl with shield bearing monogram, "GD," surrounded by crest in the form of two rearing lions with crossed laurel branch and liberty pole and surmounted by cornucopia; a pair of tea bowls and saucers bearing monogram, "JW"; and two tea bowls, bearing monograms, "Y", "AS"; each with red-painted accession number, "1969.112."
