A Chinese Export Porcelain Armorial Partial Thirteen-Piece Service
Circa 1790
comprising a soup plate, three small plates, two small bowls, four saucers, a tureen liner, and a pair of syllabub cups, each decorated with shield-form reserve containing monogram, "GP," flanked by swagged drapery and surmounted by crest in the form of a dog holding downturned arrow, with banner inscribed with motto below, "Labor Omnia Vincit", bearing red-painted accession numbers, "77.38."
