8vo. Illustrated by R. Caton Woodville and Fred Barnard. Original pictorial blue cloth over beveled boards, stamped in gilt and silver, all edges gilt (spine slightly darkened). Provenance: John Talbot Gernon (morocco bookplate).

FIRST EDITION. An interesting collection of short stories about the origins of various jewels. Barzun & Taylor 2706 ("worth its total weight in carats").
