4to. Text in Greek and in French. Title-page printed in red and in black, text printed within ornamental border, engraved frontispiece by B. Audran after A. Coypel, tipped onto title-page and presumably supplied, small engraved vignette on title-page, 28 engraved plates after Philippe, Duc d'Orléans, one unsigned plate after Comte de Caylus (facing p.162), all within elaborated engraved borders, as well as 8 engraved head-pieces and 8 engraved tail-pieces, by S. Fokke. (Toning and small chip along top of title-page.) Contemporary French red morocco, decorated in gilt, all edges gilt (spine darkened and somewhat dry). Provenance: bookseller's ticket on front paste-down (Robson & Kerslake, London); Zachary T. Hollingsworth (book-plate on front paste-down). Cohen-de Ricci 653; Sander 1226
