8vo. Original blue cloth; publisher's dust jacket (rubbing, 3 inch split to dust jacket along front spine, minor losses at head and tail of spine, toning).

FIRST EDITION IN THE RARE FIRST ISSUE DUST JACKET WITHOUT REVIEWS ON FRONT FLAP, with publisher's typos on pp. 42, 162, and 205. Dodsworth was adapted into a stage play in 1934 by Leslie Howard and two years later made into a major motion picture starring Walter Huston and Mary Astor which would go on to be nominated for seven Academy Awards.
