HORACE. Quintus Horatius Flaccus. Birmingham: John Baskerville, 1770.
4to. Engraved frontispiece by B.L. Henriquez, engraved vignette on title-page by Le Grand, and 4 engraved plates, by Godfrey and others after Hubert-François Gravelot. (Frontispiece toned, scattered light spotting to plates and text.) Contemporary French crimson red morocco, decorated in gilt, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers (spine darkened, boards unevenly faded). Provenance: armorial book-plate of Thomas Browne on front paste-down; ownership inscription of English educator and classical scholar Henry Drury (1778-1841) on front blank ("E libris T Browne, dono dedit vir reverendus, Henricus Drury. Harroviae, 1823. fine copy, old French morocco binding"); from the family libraries of Americana collectors and bibliophiles Amor L. and Zachary T. Hollingsworth.
