8vo. Original gilt-lettered blue cloth; dust jacket (chipped and torn with losses, repairs on verso, extremities soiled). Provenance: Miss B.F. Norris (recipient of inscription from the author on the front fly leaf).
FIRST ENGLISH EDITION. INSCRIBED BY HILTON in the year of publication. Good-bye Mr. Chips was adapted into two films of the same name, starring Robert Donat as Mr. Chips in 1939 and a musical in 1969 with Peter O’Toole reprising the role.
