8vo. Half-title. Original printed yellow wrappers (light soiling to covers, some light edgewear); morocco-backed slipcase. Provenance: George Middleton (1880-1967), American playwright (recipient of author's inscription); David Middleton (ownership stamp on front endpapers).
Later edition. INSCRIBED BY FRANCE on the front free endpaper: "A mon illustre confrere George Middleton homage Anatole France."
