Lot Description
HEMINGWAY, Ernest (1899-1961). In Our Time. New York: Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1930.
8vo. (Slight toning and a few occasional light spots.) Original black cloth, printed gold labels on upper cover and spine (spine lightly sunned, slight wear to extremities, a few minor scuffs, hinges tender); dust jacket (some toning and soiling, some minor chipping with a few short tears, one just touching the "H" in "Hemingway" on the front panel).
SECOND AMERICAN EDITION, the first revised edition. First published in a limited run by the Three Mountain Press in the spring of 1924, In Our Time was published again on 5 October 1925 by Boni & Liveright as the first trade edition. Scribner’s then purchased the plates, bound stock, and reprint rights to this book from Boni & Liveright on 19 June 1930, publishing this revised edition on 24 October 1930 with a print run of only 3240 copies.
