8vo. Original black cloth, printed gold labels on upper cover and spine (hinges cracked, corners bumped, some wear to extremities); dust jacket (slight soiling and staining particularly to spine panel, some minor chipping, some separation around spine panel).
FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE with the "3" perfect on p.3, and weighing 15.71 ounces. In the second issue dust jacket with the "$2.00" price but with blurbs in the orange bands on the front panel and the number of stories corrected to "fourteen" on the front flap.
