Folio (438 x 273 mm). Engraved portrait of the author by Martin Teuscher and 163 engraved plates. (Scattered pale spotting throughout.) Original marbled boards, uncut (rebacked).
FIRST EDITION. Norden was a Danish officer who travelled in Egypt in 1737 and wrote one of the very early descriptions of the antiquities of Egypt.
