Continental Short Artillery Sword with Leather Covered Brass Mounted Steel Scabbard
American Civil War
18.375" slightly wasp-waisted spear point blade with a 14" unstopped median fuller. Overall length 24" 5.5" cast brass hilt with fish scale texture cast grip and 4.125" cross guard. Unmarked. Sword is accompanied by a wood lined sheet steel scabbard with brass mountings and traces of leather covering.
