Colt Model 1861 Navy Revolver
American Civil War

.36 Cal. 7.5" barrel length. SN: 21786. (Mfg. ca. 1864) Buffed gray patina overall with brass gripstraps and one piece walnut grips mounting brass front blade and hammer rear notch sights. Single action six-shot percussion revolver with rounded barrel and no remaining trace of Naval Engagement scene. Markings include single line Colt New York address to the barrel with COLTS/PATENT to left frame. Loading lever appears to have been replaced and mounts a non standard latch that moves with difficulty. Serial numbers on the gripstraps, frame, barrel, and cylinder, but the arbor pin is not numbered and likely replaced. {ANTIQUE}
