English Flintlock Trade Fusil by Ketland & Co.
Carbine Bore (about .63 caliber). 32" wedge retained barrel with hooked breech. NSN. Bright finish, brass furniture, walnut stock. Single shot smooth bore muzzleloading flintlock fusil with socket bayonet lug on top of barrel 1" from muzzle, three ramrod pipes, open work side plate, raised carved apron around breech tang and a steel button head ramrod. 5.5" stepped flat lock with teat at rear marked KETLAND/& Co in two lines. Lock remains in original flint with an integral rounded fenced and bridled iron pan and flat faceted swan neck cock. Most of the internal lock parts, including the springs and tumbler are more modern replacements. Interior of lock with "M" makers marks and a {CROWN/36} inspection mark. Touchhole drilled and bushed with a modern bushing. No proof marks visible on top of or under the barrel. {ANTIQUE}
