Baker & McKinney Contract US Pattern of March 1864 .58 Caliber Cartridge Box with Rare SNY Plate and a Cap Pouch
American Civil War
Pattern of March 1864 cartridge box measures nominally 7.125" wide by 5.875" tall by 1.8" thick, not including the front flap. Both the belt loops and closure tab are reinforced with copper rivets. The box is maker marked by Baker & McKinney on the inner flap. It includes the tin magazines on the interior and has a SNY cartridge box plate on its face. Additionally a Baker & McKinney marked cap pouch is included. The cap pouch does not retain any wool or the pick and is filled with cotton balls.
