Ten Civil War Era Carbine Sockets
American Civil War
Group of 10 Civil War era carbine sockets for carbine carry on horseback, attached to the saddle and tack. All are of leather construction with riveted seam closures and have japanned iron buckles. Eight appear to be unmarked, one is METZGER marked and one has an illegible marking.
